Company description

I decided at the age of 5 to do something for dogs when I grew up.
Trained horses for many years, was certified riding instructor, did long distance riding.
Got my own dog and started to do some training in 1970.
Obedience, avalanche training, search and rescue, - reporting, and instructing.
Started to take courses: several mith major Gimre who were in head of the Army dogs, and whereever I could learn something.
Got my own place in 1984 and started running things my own way I was in NKK’s first group of agility judges, and did that for a short while.

Took vet. Owren’s instructor course , went to the Human-Animal Bond-conference in Montreal, Canada, and met many other trainers.

Started a cooperation with Terry Ryan and visited her camps several times. She made me
Show more write the book about calmings signals, when she heard about the study done by me and Staale Odegaard.
I started to travel the world and my books were published in many languages.

At home I did a lot of method development and finding new ways of training and coursing. We learnt more about bodies and brains and physiology, which changed our ways of doing things.

I started my Dog Training Education in 1992, and ran classes in many countries all the way up to 2020.

I started Pet Dog Trainers of Europe, PDTE, in which I am still member and President.
I started to arrange Dog Symposium in Oslo every year, several of them together with Agnes Validalo, and got speakers we learnt a lot from. For 7 years I ran it, and I loved every one of them ! So many brilliant speakers, so many new things we learnt in those years.

2018 was a big year for me. I celebrated my 80th birthday.

I was given His Majesty King Harald’s medal for my work for dogs. I retired and moved to Kristiansund, where I bought a football field with a club house where my daughter Linda and I are building up a place for dogs - called Hundeland.

And that is all for now - who knows what will happenn next !
